It has been said that as human beings our purpose on this earth is to strengthen ourselves, our families, our communities, and beyond. As such our work is the work of Reconciliation. Telling our stories and listening with openness to the stories of others, are perhaps the two most powerful means at our disposal, to restore us to wholeness. You are invited to the Commons Barn on March 17, 2:00-4:00 pm to listen to Dale Missyabit. Dale is Anishinabe. He grew up in the shadow of residential schools, poverty, and discrimination. Unlike many young men his age he did not lose his language. He is a person of deep integrity, and his story is one of great strength and courage. He is a valued member and leader of his community. His voice is important. His story is one which must be told, one that must be heard.
